Making Good on Education As you know, we have been making good on our commitment to provide quality speakers at our luncheon as part of our commitment to focus on education as the centerpiece of our association. In addition, we are committed to providing a mission statement for our association. With all of that, we are still excited about the fun things that our association has been doing including the upcoming Golf Tournament on July 17, 2009. As you may know, it is at the Reserve at Spanos Park. We were really pleased that in these challenging times, our members have responded so positively to having a Golf Tournament at a quality facility. This is an upscale location and please check your News Network for details. As sponsorships, twosomes, and foursomes are filling up quickly, I urge you to make your commitment as soon as possible to participate in our tournament. You will be impressed by the location and the course. We have noticed that despite the negative news we have been hearing about things going on in our world, claims have remained a constant. Accidents happen; things happen and those of us involved in this industry continue to deal with problems on a daily basis. Therefore, I am really pleased that we will have the opportunity to take some time out and enjoy ourselves at the Golf Tournament. On another note, as our guest speaker, we have an orthopedic doctor who is a qualified expert. He will be talking about, amongst other things, “red flags” that he finds when reviewing and performing defense medical examinations. Some of us deal with these issues on a daily basis. Even those of us who do not, will benefit from the insight and concepts Dr. McCoy will share with us. I want to re-emphasize that this is YOUR MVCA and we are here to benefit all of our members. If you have any ideas for an educational program or a great guest speaker, please call me or any member of the Board of Directors and let us know.
