Continuing Education is the Key It is indeed an honor to be the President of the MVCA in 2009. This is going to be a challenging year for all of us. To one degree or another we all have been impacted by the current economic problems. The focus of our Association will continue to be on education. We recognize that those of us who work in the insurance industry need to keep up on technology, legal issues, DOI Regulations as well as a host of other matters. Our Association, in order to serve the needs of our members, will be developing a mission statement. With this in mind, I would like your input. What is important to you as a member? How can this Association best serve you? Throughout the year, our guests will bring their expertise to our meetings. This will include experts in their fields as well as attorneys discussing relevant case law and of course, we will have a meeting dedicated to Certification. We believe that the key to this success of both our industry as well as to each of us individually is education. The more comprehensive the better off we are and so are the people that we serve. My vision is that the MVCA will be a valuable resource for those who work as insurance professionals as well as to those who function in a supporting role.
