MVCA Board Moving Forward to Improve on a Good Thing
August
Message From 2008 MVCA
President
John Tucker
Our golf tournament was June 27th. If you had a chance to look at the Mid-Valley Claims newsletter for July, you will have noted that many of our members participated and enjoyed their afternoon off from work as usual. That said, it did not go without some glitches, and your Board is working at trying to rectify those.
Unfortunately, we could not do anything about the fires all over Northern California and the smoky conditions during golf play. It certainly made for the Association having the course to itself.
I am excited about this month’s speaker. We have Paul Kayfetz of Paul Kayfetz, Inc. as our speaker. He will be talking to us on driver’s eye visibility studies, nighttime photography and computer simulations of accidents. He gave a similar talk to the East Bay Claims Association and people who were in attendance have told me it was a very good presentation. I hope you can make it to our meeting set for Friday, August 15, 2008 at Papapavlo’s Bistro in the Lincoln Shopping Center in Stockton. See our web page and contact Steven Wenograd for reservations.
Your Board of Directors is working on the balance of our speakers for the rest of the year and the Christmas/Holiday Party. In November we have our elections, and I would hope that each Association member would give some thought to being a good steward and giving back to our claims community by perhaps being an officer or running for a board position. Please feel free to contact any of the officers or board members, who are all identified on the inside front cover of your newsletter.
