We just had our second meeting at the new location, Papapavlo’s Bistro. Everyone seemed to have really enjoyed the environment, the meal and the sumptuous desserts provided with the meal. We feel it is a good price at only $15 per dues paid member with reservations. I would like to thank defense attorney Mark Berry, with the law firm of Mayall, Hurley, Knutsen, Smith & Green, for his approximately fifth annual California Fair Claims Practices Recertification Program. We had an outstanding turnout, which was due in large part to Mr. Berry’s presentation.

Our May speaker is going to be Sean Shimada, a biomechanical expert out of Davis, California. He is going to be speaking to us regarding the impact of physical forces within an accident and whether they would, in turn, generate the type of injuries claimed. I have seen this type of presentation before and found it excellent and exciting to hear. Hope to see you there.

I would like to remind everybody that we have our upcoming annual Mid-Valley Claims Association golf tournament on Friday, June 27, 2008 at Lockford Springs Golf Course on Highway 88, approximately .7 of a mile south of the intersection of Highway 12/Victor Road. This is a very nice, well-kept golf course. For only $100 golfers will receive range balls, the usual goodie-bag, lunch, golf cart and dinner. There are also two drink tickets provided. Again, all for only $100. I hope you can put together some foursomes and contact Steve Wenograd relative to your reservations.
