On Friday, March 21, 2008 we had our last luncheon meeting. This was a monumental date, as we have changed our meeting location to the new Papapavlo’s Mediterranean Bistro, located in Lincoln Center in north Stockton.

We had attorney Adam Corren talk to the Association on Employment Practices Liability issues. I would like to thank Mr. Corren for his presentation, although, alas, I had to miss it due to a previously planned trip to Guatemala. Yes, my trip was tough, but I was thinking of the members on that Friday before Easter. I heard that Mr. Corren had an excellent presentation.

This month will be once again be meeting at Papapavlo’s (as we will for the rest of this year) and have as our speaker Mark Barry with the laws offices of Mayall, Hurley, Knutsen, Smith & Green presenting our annual Fair Claims Practices Recertification Program. This is always a heavily attended event and we would suggest that you call Steven Wenograd at 478-1422 and make a reservation early. We have three menu choices and desert is included, along with a beverage, for the $15 fee.

Save the date for our upcoming golf tournament. Our Treasurer, Steve Wenograd, is working out the details now. The planned date is Friday, June 27, 2008. The location is not yet determined. We may return to Dry Creek, in Galt, but Steve has indicated that he’s also talking with the Lockeford Springs Golf Course. We’ll keep you posted.
